Nadia Jeanne Guillin
Nadia is a Conflict Humanitarian Advisor with 20 years of experience in the field of international humanitarian law, human rights and protection of civilians. She has been working with DFID and the Stabilisation Unit of the UK Government forĀ 6 years. Previously she collaborated with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, Irish Aid, the Swiss Department for Cooperation, the United Nations, Handicap International, Save the Children and Carrefour. She has been deployed to various crisis in Sierra Leone, Ukraine, Mali, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Niger, Mauritania, Chad, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Pakistan, Haiti, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Switzerland and UK.
Nadia has developed a specialisation in humanitarian and human rights issues, including translating complex questions in high-risk environments into practical strategy and rapid results-driven action.. She is regularly training military and government personnel in international humanitarian law, law of armed conflicts, human rights and prevention of sexual violence in conflicts as well as management of humanitarian interventions. Nadia also provides legal advocacy expertise for the protection of the civilians and humanitarian access during the course of a conflict. She has broad experience in generating innovative ideas and setting up realistic and strong solutions in emergency contexts.
Nadia is a member of the OICD Executive Committee.
