Jotham C Momba is an Associate Professor of Political Science, Department of Political and Administrative Studies at the University of Zambia and has also taught at the University of Swaziland and at Drew University as Fulbright Scholar. Holder of BA degree from the University of Zambia and MA and PhD from the University of Toronto. Area of specialization is comparative politics and has published journal articles and book chapters in issues relating to problems of liberal democracy in Zambia.
Have served as Head of Department, Political and Administrative Studies, University of Zambia, 1987 to 1989 and 2004 to 2008 and Member of the University of Zambia Senate from 2004 to 2011.
He was President, Organisation for Social Science Research in Eastern and Southern Africa (OSSREA), 2007- 2011. Was Member of Board of Directors, Zambia Open University, 2007-2008. Currently Chief Editor, Zambia Social Sciences Journal and Editorial Advisory Board Member, Afro-Eurasian Studies.
