Welcome
to the pre-launch site for Global Ethnographic, the
new on-line magazine for anthropological articles and films.
Global Ethnographic (GE) is now accepting articles
for consideration for a 2010 launch, please go here
to learn about how to submit your article for on-line publication.
GE
hopes to popularize anthropological perspectives--to give the
interpretation of current issues and topics new life to the
general reader. We
hope to attract an exciting range of writings from anthropologists
on contemporary societies and relationships across the world,
commenting on the social relationships and identities that define
our new century.
While
GE does hope to give a popular gleen to its
articles and forum--including photographs, links, features,
interviews, life stories, etc.--it meanwhile hopes to encourage
innovate approaches, methodology and social theory. All submissions
are peer-reviewed to the same standards as many international
academic journals.
GE
expects a wide and diverse interest from the public, students
and social science professionals. If you represent a university department you may want to find
out how to affiliate with Global
Ethnographic helping you to market your courses to a large
pool of potential students.
If you are a professional social anthropologist looking
to become involved with GE in some way, why not look
at how to become an editor.
